Remote access to your customers' sites is critical for you and your team. Dell's patent-pending remote access solution provides on-demand connectivity to virtually any device, using remote access clients of your choosing, and all without requiring the installation of any additional software. With the Dell ProManage Remote Infrastructure Monitoring platform, your engineers can use their favorite ssh client to connect to a Cisco router, telnet to a switch, or Remote Desktop to a Windows XP system.

Unfortunately, most VPN-less remote access solutions are expensive, require per-device agents, impose proprietary clients, support Windows only, and are rarely integrated with the other products your team uses day in and day out. A Windows desktop-only product such as GotoMyPC™, for example, can cost up to $180 per device per year, and requires the installation of agents on each supported device.

Dell also provides a unique solution, called SilverStreak Mobile, for remote access to roaming laptops that are frequently not connected to a corporate office. This provides you access to some hard-to-reach individuals, such as traveling sales people.
