You can synchronize Monitoring Policies between SilverBack managed services platforms. This can be a great time-saver in large installations of multiple SilverBack platforms.
The Export feature exports Monitoring Policies, Monitoring Policy Templates and Policy Components in Unicode XML format from SilverBack to your client computer. The Import feature imports the XML to other SilverBack managed services platforms from the client computer.

Once a Monitoring Policy, Monitoring Policy Template or Policy Component has been imported, you should not delete and then re-import it. Doing so is not supported by Dell because if you have made any changes to any imported item, re-importing it would defeat the synchronization of your policies. Since the exporting and importing feature is meant to help you synchronize your policies, it does not allow the import of exported XML that has been altered. This means that you cannot edit the exported XML on your workstation and then import it to SilverBack. If you must edit the Monitoring Policies, Monitoring Policy Templates and Policy Components that you've exported, make your changes within the SilverBack user interface, then export the edited items. |

If you wish to view the exported policies on your workstation, you must do so using a text editor or web browser that supports Unicode. |
