BILLERICA, MA and Newport Beach, CA - April 19, 2002 - SilverBack Technologies, Inc., a leading innovator in software-based IT monitoring solutions, and Superwire Inc. (OTC NON BB: SUPW) today announced an agreement whereby Superwire will package SilverBack's industry-leading IT monitoring software, InfoCare, as part of its integrated broadband managed services. Superwire will leverage InfoCare to monitor the availability and performance of its client's networks, systems and applications in historic and real-time, through a fully integrated and remotely maintained IT monitoring solution. Superwire delivers local and long distance voice, high-speed Internet services, virtual private networks, network monitoring and management, and PC support for small-to-medium sized enterprises (SMEs).

"Affordable and reliable IT services continue to be driving factors for the small-and mid-size business economy," said Tighe Merelli, president and CEO of Superwire,Inc. "We've selected SilverBack's InfoCare solution because it enables us to add an economical and reliable network monitoring solution to our existing services portfolio. InfoCare is the perfect complement to our existing managed services as it enables us to provide our clients with the core functionality of an enterprise-class solution at a price point they can afford."

Superwire's business model capitalizes on economics derived through convergent voice, data and video services over a single telecommunications access media. Its mission is to increase the economic efficiency of SMEs through the provision of state-of the-art computer and communication technologies, such as InfoCare. InfoCare provides a network fault detection, performance analysis, asset reporting, and security protection solution for Superwire's customers.

Fault detection results in real-time notification via email or pager to the SME's network managers aiding in the maximization of system availability. Historical performance analysis provides SMEs with the visibilty to determine when resource changes are necessary. Asset reporting provides network equipment inventory reports that enable collaborative information sharing. InfoCare's security capabilities notify Superwire customers to IT vulnerabilities that prevent hacker access. These Superwire services combine to provide SMEs with an enterprise level network management solution at an affordable price point. As the newest member of SilverBack's Strategic Partner Program, Superwire is currently testing its enhanced managed services with a number of customers in Southern California and Texas.

"Our partners continue to identify InfoCare as a critical element required to compete in their respective target markets, said Dan Phillips, president and CEO of SilverBack. "Superwire, for example, has already generated great interest and expanded its service deployment in two high density regions."
